Frequently Asked Questions
How do I buy batteries through Best Carts?
We make it simple, affordable and convenient. Our batteries available for purchase online 24/7 with pick-up available via a will-call service through a series of distribution branches located across the United States (see map for full listing). Once your order has been processed, you will receive an email to schedule pick-up at the branch.
Do you have these batteries in stock?
Distribution branches are generally well stocked with most common golf cart batteries. In the event that they are not in stock, they can normally have them in within 3-5 business days.
Do you ship batteries?
Golf cart batteries are very heavy and contain acid, making them difficult and expensive to ship. Instead, we offer our customers the opportunity to pick up their batteries at over 40 locations across the United States. For a full listing of pick up locations see the map on our home page.
Do you offer discounts on bulk orders?
We do offer discounts if buying by the pallet (minumum of thirty-six 12V or fourty-eight 6V/8V).
Do I need to provide core batteries?
Our prices listed are with equal core echange, meaning that you will be providing equal core batteries at time of pickup. If you do not have core batteries, a core charge will be applied at time of pickup. Current core charges are $30 per 6/8-volt battery and $36 per 12-volt battery (this is subject to change without notice).
When can I pick up my batteries?
Pick up is available day of purchase. Our distribution branches are open Monday-Friday from 8am-4pm. After checkout, you will receive an email confirmation with all the information that you will need to pick up your batteries at the nearest distribution branch.
Proper maintenance and care of batteries?
Please refer to this website for proper maintenance and care.
Order cancellation policy
We have a 10% restocking fee on any purchase cancelled, before pick up, at the request of the buyer.
How do I know what voltage batteries I need?
Count the number of watering caps on each battery. Each cap is a cell and each cell is equal to 2V (example 3 caps=6V). Most golf carts are 36V or 48V. 36V carts are normally made up of a series of six 6V batteries while 48V carts can be comprised of four 12V batteries or six 8V batteries.
How far can I ride on a single charge?
Golf cart batteries use a universal measurement called amp hours to determine the length of run time that a battery can provide on a single charge. It is nearly impossible to provide a specific distance as there are many variables such as tire size, weight, terrain and even driving style. The higher the amp hour rating the longer you can run per charge.
What kind of warranty do the batteries come with?
Our batteries come with a free replacement warranty through our distributor. This means that you will not have to pay any costly pro-rates in the event that there was a manufacturer defect. Our US125 and US145 have an 18-month warranty. Our other US Battery, Trojan and all Centennial models come with a 24-month warranty.
Why should I buy my batteries from Best Carts?
The reasons are endless, but here are the top 3:
Delivery route pickup
Our route delivery pick up allows customers to pick up along a scheduled weekly delivery route. After making your purchase, you will coordinate pick up with our distributor on their next delivery day to that area. You will need to supply equal core exchange batteries at time of pick up or pay the distributor a core charge in advance of pick up. They will not deliver to your residence, you must meet them at their nearest stop or at the nearest interchange. It is necessary that you are there in advance of the driver as they are on a tightly scheduled route and can not hold up other deliveries to wait. If you are unable to personally meet them let them know in advance that you will have someone else picking them up in your place.
